The Frontier Project Foundation will construct a 14,000-square-foot demonstration building that will show how sustainable design is economical, efficient, and inviting. Located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, it will display and utilize sustainable innovations for Southern California living and working environments. The Frontier Project’s goal is to educate resident consumers, commercial builders, and sustainable advocates regarding the latest methods and technologies in water, energy, and site conservation. Already the recipient of several design awards, the building will seek a USGBC LEED Platinum rating.
The Frontier Project Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the environmental challenges facing Southern California. The Frontier Project has been incorporated as a 501(C)3 non-profit entity. It has an eight member Board of Directors that oversees the policies of the Foundation.
UPDATE: Rancho Cucamonga, CA 10/14/08- An onsite pre-construction training session for members of the Turner Construction team and their sub-contactors was held at the Rancho Cucamonga jobsite on October 14th. Conducted by members of both the Arxx and ICW teams, participants witnessed a hands-on demonstration of various ICF construction techniques and were able to ask questions and address any possible concerns. These types of training sessions are available upon request for all ICW projects.
