The benefits are significant and growth is continuing throughout the residential and commercial new construction markets. There are approximately 70 manufacturers producing insulated concrete forms today. Most are regional in scope due to the extensive freight rates to ship Expanded Polystyrene Foam long distances. In 2005, these mfg.s reported shipments of 53.8 million square feet into a variety of markets.
